This course will combine a close study of advanced typographic conventions with an intensive exploration of the features and capabilities of current industry-standard software. Less a graphic design class (aesthetics) than an exercise in textual communication, the class will focus on determining and meeting the demands of the text and reader through a firm understanding of legibility, readability, composition and layout.
