This course introduces students to the hardware, software, and practical skills required to design, implement, and maintain computer networks. From a small private home LAN to the largest, most complex inter-networks the fundamental concepts and skills remain the same. This course exposes students to all the transmission media, network software, and interconnection devices needed to build them.
By the end of this course, you should have a clear understanding of how computer networks work and should be able to design, implement, and troubleshoot simple local area networks using modern MS Windows Operating Systems. You should also have an understanding of how more complicated inter-networks, including the internet, work.
