Welcome to Events Planning. This is a senior course in applied learning which requires a full team effort to learn to build an event business plan. You will learn the skill set required to create and plan an event and you will develop an event business plan for a real client. I emphasize that my expectations for your motivation and performance are high as this course is a well recognized brand in our Okanagan School of Business. The course encompasses the skill sets of: Idea Generation, Mind's Eye Modelling; Consumer Targeting and Segmentation; External Environmental Analysis; Internal Environmental Analysis; Goal Setting; Positioning; Integrated Marketing Communications and Sales Strategy and Content; Risk Management Planning; Operations Planning and Financial Planning. You will be required to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively and communicate with your client regularly. I hope you are as stoked to learn by doing as I am to be your educator.
