Welcome to Business Law online. We will meet on Zoom twice each week and the Zoom invite is found at the top of the Moodle shell for the course.
This course will introduce you to the world of risk management from a legal perspective and a business perspective. You must have a working camera and microphone to participate in this course.
The way you will learn is through self directed learning and experiential learning.
The self directed learning comes from reading the assigned chapters in the Thornicroft law text and watching the appropriate videos; recording your own notes based on these readings; and bringing questions to class for discussion. As often as possible we discuss these questions in the context of your own business experience. .The experiential learning will be achieved through 6 live legal debates called "Moot Courts" where you will work in teams to prepare a legal brief and actively debate the case against another team and have students judge your arguments. These are mandatory and promote the development of communications, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. Please ensure that you are motivated to learn using these methods.
